  • Be a Fisher of Men! Helping to spread God's Word Internationally is a mission that needs all of us! How can you help?...... Prayer: We need your prayers, include us daily as you speak with God....... Support: Free Will offerings is the financial life blood of our operations. One time donations are wonderful and monthly donations are fantastic!..... Involvement: If you have a burning desire to share your talents, contact us and we will help fan that flame!
  • We are Baptist people seeking to be helpful to the Lord’s churches and works both at home and abroad. We identify with the ancient Waldenses, Paulicians, Donatists and others who have stood in the hedge and filled the gap as a succession of true churches from the time of Jesus and the apostles. The true churches of the Lord Jesus Christ are the “Pillar and ground of the truth.” The truth is the Word of God, the “faith once delivered to the saints.” It is incumbent upon us as God’s people to propagate His Word as foundational to individual lives and the continued growth of His churches. To this end we both pray, and labor in fields that are white already unto harvest. Furthermore, to this end we encourage others to get involved in prayers, financial support, evangelistic and teaching activities.

GIVING OF THANKS DAY Thursday, November 24, 2022 is America’s designated “Thanksgiving Day.” What will be on the minds of our citizens? For many it means a holiday from work schedules to spend as one chooses. For others, it is a day to unwind and enjoy special sporting events. Still for others, it is a time of family togetherness enhanced by a table laden with delicious food. Then, for some, it is a time to gear up for special shopping in stores that will hawk pre-Christmas sales. Is this what its about? The first American Thanksgiving in 1621 was given to the giving of thanks to the Lord for keeping the pilgrims alive in a harsh, hostile environment. It was later officially declared a day to especially engage in the giving of thanks to God for life, health, and prosperity, recognizing that these are the things that come down from the “Father of lights with Whom there is no variableness nor shadow of turning.” James 1:17. Today, society is submerged in secularism, and may be likened to a hog munching acorns beneath a giant oak, but never looking up to see from whence the blessings come. This, however, is not new. Once there were ten lepers who were cleansed from their terrible disease by the Lord Jesus. The cleansing came after they had met Jesus and were going on their way. Their cleansing was most astonishing to them, and their joy was off the charts, but what happened next? Only one out of the ten returned to give thanks to the Lord for what He had done for him. Jesus asked, “...where are the nine?” Luke 17:17. That question reverberates down through the vicissitudes of time as a giant echo chamber. God has so magnificently blessed this nation, but where are those who recognize him in the actual giving of thanks? One may think this to be a quibbling with terms, but sometimes words become so stereotyped that meaning is lost. Phraseology needs to be changed. On this holiday...and...every other day, let “Thanksgiving” actually mean the “Giving of Thanks!” ... See MoreSee Less

SAVORING THE SLOPLuke 15 records the familiar story of the prodigal son. When his substance was wasted, and no man gave him the needful things of life, he resorted to feeding the hogs for another, and would dip his hand in the slop bucket to eat some of the husks intended for pigs. It is so sad that he had to stoop to such low level before realizing that real help and true love awaited him in his father’s house. But sadder still is the continuous replaying of this story in modern times. Many human traits fostered far and wide as substitutions for true blessings found in the Heavenly Father’s house. One is the philosophy of the power of positive thinking. Oh, to be sure there are some good things in this world that one may achieve in the power of positive thinking, but when one tries to extrapolate that into spiritual realities that come to us from God, it becomes a slop bucket. A few years ago, there were some notable preachers who made that theme to be the crux if their ministry. It sounded good to unspiritual ears; it pandered to those who prized self-sufficiency, and despised repentance. Then after serving up a homily on the subject those purveyors of spiritual poison would smile like a wave on a bucket of slop. Those who have slopped the hogs in earlier years have no trouble visualizing this. But if there are some good things in the power of positive thinking, what is wrong with such messages, one might ask. The Bible message is that there is no innate goodness in mankind. He is by nature a hell-bound sinner, and only the salvation wrought by the Lord Jesus Christ on the Cross of Calvary can change that. So, repentance and faith are the requirement, not the power of positive thinking. The apostle Paul explained this idea and legalism in general as, “Which things have indeed a shew of wisdom in will worship, and humility, and neglecting of the body; not in any honour to the satisfying of the flesh.” Col. 2:23. Such are the ornaments of the broad way that leads to destruction. But, the way of life is the narrow way. Christ must be the foundation, the head, and everything in between. Otherwise, it is spiritual slop. I don’t want it, won’t have it!Even the pigs may have a real problem with it, too. ... See MoreSee Less

THE UNBROKEN LINEAGEIt is inconceivable that a river should stop its course to the sea then some miles later take up that course again. Its very nature necessitates continuity. That principle is also true with a number of other things. Think about it!The lineage of Jesus is given from the sides of both Mary and Joseph in Matthew and Luke. It allows no such break in continuity. While Jesus was conceived in Mary by the Holy Spirit, it remains important that the continuity of faith lineage be unbroken. Additionally, could there be such a break in an electrical current? or, in light from its source? Yet, some people still wonder what came first, the chicken or the egg? It seems incredulous to them to believe that God created a chicken which laid the egg, and the existence of the fowl lineage remains unbroken since creation. Hang on, I am going somewhere with this.Could such a break in continuity occur in everlasting life that it should be lost and later found? Not hardly! So it is with God’s covenantal work with man. Limited covenants were made with Adam and Noah, but the expansion of a covenant for the whole species began in Abraham, and the covenant made with him continues unbroken to this day, and it shall remain in continuity to the end of the age. The Law of Moses was a subset within the Abrahamic Covenant, meant to educate God’s people both then and now to the righteousness of God and the sinfulness of mankind. Its ultimate purpose was to be a schoolmaster to bring people of faith to Christ (the God/man Who could, and did fulfill it). But the passage of the law did not in anywise negate the Abrahamic Covenant, on the contrary, it succeeded in delivering a remnant to Jesus who became the first New Testament church; hence, the standard bearer, ground, and pillar of the New Covenant. The continuity of faith continued from the nation of Israel to the first church. Inasmuch as the first church before, during, and after Pentecost was one hundred percent Jewish; it was the true Israel of God. The bulk of the Hebrew nation was left desolate having rejected heaven’s messenger. (It will remain desolate until they look upon Him Whom they pierced). The first church perpetuated itself in accord with God’s plan, and its presence in the world today has unbroken continuity as surely as the river, the chicken and the egg, the electrical current, etc. Of course, there are those who deny church succession, but they may wrestle with the chicken and the egg, too. “Prove it,” they say! Look again at the river, at the light beam. Consider again the electrical current. Some things cannot exist without continuity, and the church of the living God to Whom Jesus promised His presence to the end of the age is chief among them with all other claims being counterfeit, pure and simple. ...
